If you’ve ever tried to run EFI in a car that wasn’t originally equipped that way, you basically have to re-construct your entire fuel system, typically with a feed and return line setup. XV Fuel tanks offer a bolt in solution to take the headaches out of this job. These tanks can also be used for carbureted solutions, which will be explained below.
Fully assembled reproduction bolt in tank with an in-tank electric pump – once mounted in the car they look 100% stock.
Can be used for EFI or Carbureted applications
In tank electric pump is quiet, like an OE application (typical external electric pump setups are very noisy).
OE style fuel pump mount with quick connect fittings for feed and return lines
Tank accepts factory sending unit to operate your fuel gauge
Rated to 500 HP
Tanks come fully assembled with an OE quality pigtail connector to wire the fuel pump, quick connect fittings to go from the fuel pump to fuel lines (3/8” feed and 5/16” return).
Please note that you must use EFI grade fuel line hose for connections secured with EFI style hose clamps when installing this product. Installation will require a small relief where the connector of the feed line meets the trunk floor which is located at the very front of the tank just behind the rear shock mount.
For carbureted applications, you will need a pressure regulator designed to reduce fuel pressure from EFI levels to carbureted (typically 6-7 PSI). This is the same setup we are using for our XV cars which we are now able to offer to our customers as a complete, and much needed solution.
