The Mopar Performance Jeep electronic fuel injection kit is designed to enhance the efficiency and power of 1981 to 1990 Jeep 4.2L (258 CID) inline 6 cylinder engines. The kit replaces the stock carburetor and manifold with a new multi-point injection (MPI) system. Each cylinder has its own injector which precisely controls individual fuel requirements. The new MPI kit is self-compensating and runs equally as well from sea level to terrain above 12,000 feet. On and off-road performance gains can be expected. No more carburetor flooding problems when climbing steep hills or rock crawling. Mechanical components are based from production 1995 Jeep parts; therefore replacement parts are readily available. Includes easy to read installation instructions. Emissions exempt via Executive Order D265-7 from the California Air Resources Board. Not recommended for engines with modified camshafts or increased compression rations. MUST USE WITH VIBRATION DAMPERS. Multi-Port Injection System fits 1981-90 CJ and YJ with 258 4.2L 6 cylinder engine with manual transmission only. Vibration damp must be purchased separately.
