On my installation I did not have these issues as they could have been addressed by Hurst. I did however use self adhesive felt squares where the slider moves against the bottom of the plate as recommended by Hurst. I followed the instructions regarding bending the edges of the slider plate also and the only issue I can report is a clicking noise when going into park, which is likely caused by the lack of a forward slider guide. You will need a set of plastic trim tools, jewelers screwdrivers and hex key wrenchs for a simple install. Overall a good quality piece.

Overall a cool product but as with most aftermarket stuff takes a bit of massaging to get it to fit
