Looking to add adrenaline to your vehicle’s muscle? Now you can with one of Mopar’s Hemi crate engines. In the time it takes to build an engine from scratch, you can be at your favorite drag strip pounding on the competition. Mopar is ready to reintroduce three new, retooled classic Hemi crate engines (426, 472, 528) and one all-new drag racing and pro street Hemi crate engine (540).

Each gives you traditional raw, in-your-face Hemi performance and the convenience of a bolt-in package. “These engines represent the ultimate in pure, authentic muscle, ” said David Hakim, Portfolio Manager, Mopar Performance Parts. “Whether on the street or on the strip, Mopar Hemi crate engines let you drop in the power and go. ”You choose the power you desire — from 465 horsepower up to 900+ horsepower. And you’ll race assured knowing that all Mopar Hemi crate engine blocks and heads are manufactured from new tooling with many updates and revisions that ensure the highest quality castings possible. The Mopar Hemi 426, 472, and 528 crate engines feature thicker main webbing on the block for durability, rigidity and strength. Improved tolerances ensure all components tighter to provide increased performance. The cam has also been revised to offer more usable horsepower and torque, as well as better drivability. In fact, the 426 Hemi crate engine produces more horsepower than previous 426 Hemi productions — up to 465 horsepower. All four new engines are engineered to run on premium gas station pump fuel, so you get convenience plus uncompromising power. Mopar Hemi crate engines are turnkey alternatives to building an engine from scratch, and they’re applicable to a variety of vehicles — from classics, to dragsters, to today’s modern muscle machines. Try one on for size.

Mopar 426 Hemi® crate engine — 465 Horsepower, 486 ft.-lbs. torque Originally introduced in 1964 as a racing engine, the legendary 426 Hemi first appeared in 1966 street B-body Dodges and Plymouths, such as Dodge Charger, Dodge Coronet 500, and Plymouth Belvedere. Now’s your chance to put a brand-new 426 Hemi in your classic vehicle and grab the advantage of the latest in production technology and Hemi power. This Hemi crate engine puts 465 horsepower and 486 ft.-lbs. of torque under your right foot. For maximum performance, Mopar Performance recommends the use of a 750 cfm Holley carburetor and 2.00" header primaries. Stick a Mopar 426 Hemi® crate engine in your classic car and get ready to feel the power.
